Shame about the mare. So you think someone would want to make more of her? As a broodie? That's "all she's good for"? What if she'd been a colt? I'd euth her. Just because she has a uterus, doesn't mean she "needs" bred.
If she's that irregularly unsound, how nice is it to make her carry the weight of a foal?
"Broodmare sound" is just a nice way of saying "Fuck her."
Poor thing.

Well, since she's only a yearling, no one will be breeding her for quite some time IF at all. I did not say she has to go be a broodmare, but yes, she has nice confo, a great disposition, and nice bloodlines.

Fuck woman, do you think I just breed everything? Are you really that ignorant? You want to euth her? I'm not euthing her. She still has a chance at recovering sound... but like I said, I'm not making guarantees. I've spent a lot of time on this filly. She deserves a home where she can be loved for what she is. And if you are too scared to use a username, maybe you should just refrain from stating an opinion.

And if she were a colt she would have already been gelded, I would have spent the same amount of time and money on her, and I'd still be doing what I'm doing. Finding a good home for her. Yes, shame on me for giving this filly a second chance. And since you know just ohhhh so much, the prospective home she may be going to wants her as a companion horse. But thanks for enlightening me to the ignorance of your line of thinking. I'm not a BYB. Nice try sweetheart. Better luck next time.

Anon, STFU, seriously. She's not your horse, she belongs to HNH. She's doing right by Marilyn.

Kudos to you for looking for a reputable home for your filly. No harm in passing her on to another responsible party who will also do right by her. Sometimes we can't keep them all, as much as we'd like to.

What a lovely filly.
Good luck with finding her a great home.
Looks like Anon1 forgot to take her happy pills..

Horses are so fragile, aren't they?
One bad step.

Good for you doing right by the filly. Its a shame some people are ignorant, if she were my filly I would have done the same. I hope she finds a great home. This comment section has inspired me to post on my own blog my story of doing right by a horse. http://sandhillermustangs.blogspot.com/

ugh, if she were a little more cow bred, I would snatch her up in a second.

Good luck to you HNH! I passed her along, but one of my friends just got married and has no time and the other is moving soon to go to grad school and can't committ a forever home to your girl :(

I am sure she will find a good home. People like Anon are idiots, just ignore them.

If anything, this filly stands to be a GOOD producer. She's correct, is a lovely little horse, and very well bred.

I met your filly's grandsire once. When I was a little girl, we took a trip to Richland Ranch and got to meet him (an aquaintance worked there). IR was simply gorgeous and he knew it too. I thought your filly looked like his type!

I wish I could take her, but I'm only in the market for a rideable 2 yo WP propect (QHes only). She's darn cute though. I hope you find someone for her.

Thanks Roses.

I think I have found this filly a wonderful forever home as a companion horse. the lady has a nice facility and excellent references. I am very pleased. She's not leaving until the first of the month, but I think my little mare mare will enjoy her new home and continue to recieve the same quality care that I have given her. I'm going to miss her though. And of course, should the lady ever feel the need to sell her, I have retained first right of refusal. I think it will be a good match though.

I have a filly right now that is by Final Review. Really close to the same breeding of your filly. She is super cute and really gentle. You have done a good job with her and with her wound. I bet she will heal and be sound. And there would be no reason she wouldn't be able to be ridden. Sometimes all it takes is some time. She is a looker!!

Good for you for giving your girl an honest chance. She may heal sound, or not...and you've been totally honest. No problem as far as I'm concerned, more like applause.

How much are they asking? Price wise... I am looking for a nice mare to potentially show.
